MY FAMILY HERITAGE
FAMILY
This is my family, and they are very important to me. I have an older sister named Marellyn Blasco and an older brother named Junrey Blasco. The eldest among us siblings is my sister, Amabelle Blasco, who guides us with her experience and advice. At the head of our family is my father, Manuel Blasco, who works hard and sets a good example for us. Each member of my family has a unique role, and together they give me strength, support, and love that help me grow as a person.
These are my cousins, the children of my grandfather on my mother’s side: John, Nicolas, and Ariel. They are not only my relatives but also my friends, and we share many memories together. Growing up with them has taught me the value of family bonds and the joy of having people who treat you like brothers even though they are not your siblings. Whenever we gather as a family, my cousins and I enjoy spending time together, helping one another, and learning from each other’s experiences. They inspire me with their unique personalities and strengths, and they remind me that family is more than just being related by blood it is about love, respect, and support that last a lifetime.TRADITION AND PRIZE VALUES
- This kind of work is traditional in our place in GUIHULNGAN. It has been passed down from generation to generation, showing how people in our community value hard work, responsibility, and care for what they have. Watching and learning from this tradition helps me appreciate our culture and reminds me to carry on the same practices with dedication. It also teaches me that traditions are not just tasks but lessons that shape our character and strengthen our connection to our roots. The values of my family shape who I am and guide the way I live. We value love and respect, which keep us close and united even in times of difficulty. Hard work is also important to us, as my father shows through his dedication, and my siblings remind me through their efforts in their own responsibilities. My grandmother also plays a big role in our family, because she reminds us to pray, to stay humble, and to trust God in everything we do. We practice kindness and care for one another, making our home a place of comfort and support. These values teach me to be responsible, compassionate, and strong, and I carry them with me in my daily life.
RECIPES
- My mother told me that this recipe was already cooked by my grandfather, Pedring Blasco, even before I was born. He often prepared it until the time he passed away, and it became one of the dishes that our family loved. This recipe carries memories of my grandfather and the times when he enjoyed cooking for everyone. After my grandfather died, my mother continued cooking the same dish. Later, I also learned how to make it, and now I have adopted this recipe as my own. It is fried chicken with a very delicious flavor, and it has become a special food that reminds me of our family tradition.
